Do you accept insurance?
I do not accept insurance…
A Sliding Fee Schedule is available.
I strongly believe in a Sliding Fee Schedule.
If at all possible, I do not want cost to prevent anyone from setting up a time to get together.
Please let me know what fee would work for you and we can work out a comfortable situation.
Your counselor has to diagnose you to get reimbursed. Please understand that to receive reimbursement a client must be given a medical diagnosis such as depression, anxiety, etc. To be given a diagnosis you must meet certain criteria which may have an impact on your future insurance costs and coverage.
When you use insurance, your records are not protected. Your insurer can audit your records at any time they wish.
Your care is dictated by your insurance company.
Unfortunately, the insurance companies generally only reimburse the provider approximately 50% of the actual cost. The amount paid by the insurance companies has not increased in many years making it more difficult to remain in practice.
How long are the sessions with you?
I see individual clients for 45 minute sessions and I see 2 or more clients together for relationship counseling for 90 minutes.
How do you accept payment?
You may pay using cash, checks, credit cards and HSA and FSA credit cards. Payment is expected at the start of each session.
If you have any questions, I’d be happy to discuss these with you. Please contact me to schedule a session at which time we can devise a strategy suited to your specific needs.
